Episode 7- The Opposite of the Prosecution

In Sarah's discussion with Deirdre (the lawyer from the innocence project), Deidre states that innocent clients are the least helpful because they don't know what to say, and that the case against Adnan is "very thin" (meaning that there isn't a strong case against him).  Explain Deidre's ideas about Adnan's case and whether you agree with her ideas or not. Also, why isn't Don a suspect?

  1. Deidre was wondering why Don, Hae´s boyfriend was not brought up as much as he should have been. Deidre brings up a case with Justin Wolfe and how he was wrongly convicted for a crime he did not commit which is what most people believe Adnan´s situation to be. In this case Justin was set up by his friend which shines a light on jay again and makes this even more suspicious. This episode just reassures me even more that Adnan was not responsible for this crime and that Don and Jay should have been further investigated.

  2. After Deidre took a lot at Adnan's case she said that the case was "thin". Our Narrator speaks to Daidre about things that happen to her while she is working on Adnan's case. And Deidre tells her that switching between wether thinking if the person is guilty or not is normal until you know for sure if he/ she did or not. They aslo discuss some similarities about another case in virginia with Adna’s case. For example the a key witness, incriminating cell phone records, drugs, young people involved and a defendant whose always saying his innocent. Deidre says that she doesn’t understand why would someone want Hae dead and that a break up is nothing that people break up all time. She also wonders why wasn’t Don, hae’s boyfriend considered suspicious. I agree with Deidre because Adnan’s case is so vague, there isn’t any solid evidence against him and many things that should’ve been tested or brought attencion to that didn’t come up.

Episode 5 - Route Talk

Route Talk- Based on Sarah's experiment, cell tower information,  and Adnan's story, does the state's timeline for murder seem possible? Does Sarah's "test run" seem realistic to commit a murder? Imagine you are the detective in this case and answer this question: To what degree does Sarah's experiment corroborate Jay's story? Is it truthful enough to convict Adnan, is it so impossible that you have to throw out Jay's testimony, or is it somewhere in the middle? Explain your decision. Please answer in paragraph form and comment on at least two other people's answers. All responses are due by Tuesday, 11.19 @ 11:59PM
