After watching episode one of the HBO documentary, what did you learn about Adnan and Hae that you did not in the podcast? How did the visuals help you make connections? Did you change your mind about any of the ideas you had about the case? Why or why not?

I haven't changed my mind on the case or any aspects of it. I still think that Adnan is in fact innocent because what Sarah has not proven but she has merely shown is that the time frame Adnan supposedly had was not enough time to commit the crime. So much just doesn't add up with the story against him. The visuals really helped because as Sarah was going through the investigation it just felt a little more real as if I was there with him in the time frame.-Anamarcia
ReplyDeleteI agree i feel as if there is information missing or one of these friends know something we dont know and its what led to this but they are not saying anything because they wanna save themselves from getting in trouble.
Deleteit helped with knowing that the prom queen was jays girlfriend and that jay is black -not that it matters i just had no idea, besides that i still believe adnan has little to do with this. hae thinks she lost herself but she didnt, she was simply restricted and didnt follow the rules her parents set so its understandable. i also think hae had to have done something because for some reason i feel like shes not completely "innocent". Don is interesting. i dont know how to feel about him.
ReplyDeleteEven though I think Adnan is innocent, I started making up new ideas since you said that Hae is not completely innocent, they haven't shared anything bad about Hae, but there could be something she did and we just don't know it yet
DeleteI agree i dont think Hae is completley innocent, i get it she was murdered or something happened but we arent getting told of that. What if something went down and she absolutley hated Adnon for it and she killed herself to Frame adnon or something along those lines.
DeleteI still think that Hae was innocent. From what ive seen in the documentary and in the podcasts nothing is shown that would even indicate that she wasnt innocent.
DeleteKnow that i have heard the potcast and watched the visuals it helps me understand and follow the events on the potcast and the documentary more clearly. After watching part of the documentary, i've come to see more of Hae's thought about Adnan and their relationship, they were deeply inlove and her high school life was like a brake from her life in the house. Watching the potcast was helpful because i could follow some of the points that Sarah made in the potcast and it gave me a visual of how could that happen. We also got to meet Hea's friend and family. Overall the documentary did help me but it didn't change my mind on how i think that Adnan is innocent.
ReplyDeleteSeeing it was kind of like following it step by step instead of trying to picture it, meeting their family was a big help also because you could see the emotions in them and how much they loved their kid and wouldnt think anything bad of them.
DeleteThe documentary definitely made it a lot more real and gave us a chance to see all the emotions of the family members and friends that were telling the story.
DeleteThe documentary explained things better, and also told us more about Adnan’s and Jay’s personal life. the way in which things were explained, including the testimonies of other people that still make me think that Adnan has nothing to do with the murder, even though many of the statements want to make him look guilty. In my personal opinion, the documentary clarified that they had a very good relationship, and breaking up was not a reason to kill her after it was confirmed that they actually loved each other during their days
ReplyDeleteIn my personal opinion the documentary gave me more of a perspective on the murder case. Hearing Haes actual thoughts on what happened on days and her feelings and thoughts about everything gave us how she truly felt with Adnon. They had arguments like every normal couple does. From reading the thoughts of their relationship it seems as if they truly cared about each other and were madly in love. But watching and being introduced to both of the families, i dont think adnon would do such thing, something is missing . So in my opinion i think Adnon is innocent.
ReplyDeleteWatching the documentary made a lot more sense and brought things into perspective. By reading Haes diary it showed just how normal of a couple they were back in high school and how cheesy the relationship was. Your typical relationship in high school. Hearing both the families speak and seeing them gave me a chance to try and understand them better.
