Route Talk- Based on Sarah's experiment, cell tower information, and Adnan's story, does the state's timeline for murder seem possible? Does Sarah's "test run" seem realistic to commit a murder? Imagine you are the detective in this case and answer this question: To what degree does Sarah's experiment corroborate Jay's story? Is it truthful enough to convict Adnan, is it so impossible that you have to throw out Jay's testimony, or is it somewhere in the middle? Explain your decision.

I think Adnan and Jay both did the crime. I say this because they said there was a 21 min margin and there would be no way for Adnan to do it himself so jay definitely helped adnan and both of them had teamed up and killed her. The reason why Adnan is being blamed for this crime is because he snitched on adnan before anything and adnan wouldnt be able to say that jay was or wasnt there cuz it would lead to him ratting him self out. That is probably the reason why his story keeps switching up because to be honest it makes no sense for him to randomly just snitch on one of his "boys" for no reason especially with him being a drug dealer him being a snitch would definitely ruin his reputation so what he did was put himself before he put adnan and snitched on him so he can put all the blame on him and end up not facing nothing and his plan worked! BOOM I CRACKED THIS CASE........

DeleteEven though my opinion is based on Adnan not being involved, I agree with the way you tried to deduce that the crime was caused by both of them, since they left school together the timing would have been accurate
This is a very different way of viewing the story but it completely makes sense considering that the crime was supposedly done in such little time.
DeleteI never looked at it from this perspective but it does make sense. If they both worked together that explains so much like how Jay knew so much about what happened and how and where her car was.
DeleteI get where you are going with this. Theres too much known information and done too quickly for a two man job done by "one" within 21 min
DeleteHonestly this really made me re-look at the case because I have been so convinced that Adnan is innocent but this definitely brings another possibility to the table. It makes sense with valid reasoning.
DeleteI feel that the experiment was not really useful because the traffic could’ve been different every day. Let’s say the time matches with the murder, even though it does, I would stick to Jay because it is another version he is adding, plus, why did he know everything that happened after school that day if at the beginning of the blog everyone who was asked (including Jay) said that they didn’t remember what they did that evening. This is making Jay look guilty because when he talked to the cops he told them that the phone that supposedly Adam had used was no longer there
ReplyDeleteI agree, the traffic could've made a huge different and stop lights.
DeleteThe states timeline for murder does not seem possible because it´s too little time, there is absolutely no way that Adnan could have made it out of school and killed someone in twenty minutes. Sarah´s test run does not seem realistic to commit a murder. It seem too far fetched for so much to happen in such little time. In my opinion Jay´s testimony still confuses me because he is is so inconsistent. For example when he talked about searching Jays trunk when hae´s body was supposed to be in there. I don´t think this is enough to convict Adnan of killing Hae.
ReplyDeleteyeah, there is too little time for them to do everything, something isn't true.
DeleteI think you're 100% right about not having enough time. This is still what makes me question younes' theory
DeleteI think that Sarah’s test run doesn’t corroborate Jay’s story because it is confirming that it was not possible for Adnan to leave the school, strangle Hae and put her in the trunk by 2:45. Aside from that, some things that Jay said happened seem to be untrue. Jay claims to have seen Adnan go into a payphone but when Sarah went back and check to cell tower information, they said that there was never any record of a payphone in the Best Buy parking lot. He also stated that Adnan was placing Hae’s body in the trunk in broad daylight which is insane that no one ever saw him. Also, many things could have changed since then and now including traffic and time. Even pedestrians crossing could have affected this experiment which is what convinces me that Jay’s story is completely unreliable.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Jay's story is not reliable.
Deletei agree, Jays story is not reliable.
DeleteSarah's experiment showed that it was just not enough time for adnan to do everything in the amount of time that he had. it also shows that Jay's testimonies are inconsistent to the point where it doesn't even sound true. When jay claimed that adnan was placing hae's body in the trunk in broad daylight it just sounds ridiculous. there's no way could that be true. it seems to me that Jay is lying, and that he could be hiding the truth. I think this is enough to convict adnan because Jay was the only person to talk to the cops and the only person that was there that day but, I don't think adnan is guilty for Hae's death.
ReplyDeleteI haven't changed my mind on the case or any aspects of it. I still think that Adnan is in fact innocent because what Sarah has not proven but she has merely shown is that the time frame Adnan supposedly had was not enough time to commit the crime. So much just doesn't add up with the story against him. The visuals really helped because as Sarah was going through the investigation it just felt a little more real as if I was there with him in the time frame.-Anamarcia p.s (please disregard the comment on this weeks post, I accidentally published my comment for the wrong week)
ReplyDeletesarah helped adnan's case but i feel like he still knows more than he is letting on
Deletein my opinion i think it was adnon and jay all of this was done to quickly, and in my opinion i feel like they both know enough information to complete either a lead or a full case or just all the information put together to prove them both guilty.
ReplyDeleteadnan definitely has more than hes letting on but at the same time i feel like jay is the one to fully blame.
Deletei think jay is the main reason behind this however i feel like adnan does know more and had something slight to do with this. Jay definitely had help from others because he simply didnt do all that by himself. jay must've had hatred or jealousy of some sort towards adnan. poor hae. orrrr, hae couldve been in some things that she shouldn't have been.
ReplyDeleteI feel like they Jay is like 100 percent guilty but i do feel like theres something that group of people know and no one else knows like smehting hae did to cause this or what happened to make it this far also was it really murder or suicide.
DeleteI think Sarah's test experiment for adnan go to kill hae from the school to the park in 22mint from Point A to B. I think the test wasn't enough because the time could've be affected by the traffic of the day or Stop lights. They should've run a lot of test and see what is the fastest time for them to get there. I also think that if adnan did something like this it would require a lot of helps and back ups which bring me back to jay. I feel like jay is hiding something from the cop about the murder and his story to the cops.
